Since starting mining production in October 2017 up until July 2019, PT Ceria Nugraha Indotama (Ceria) has paid IDR216 billion to the state revenue in taxes and non-taxes.
The payments Ceria made include income taxes, mining sector land and building tax, royalty, port services, and export duty. The payments made from October 2017 to July 2019 amounted IDR31 billion in taxes and IDR185 billion in non-taxes.
“The tax and non-tax payments were made for the sales of nickel ore from October 2017 to July 2019,” said Derian Sakmiwata, the President Director of Ceria.
“Ceria always complies all government regulations in all aspects of its operations including government financial payment obligations,” said Derian Sakmiwata.
Ceria is currently developing a rotary kiln electric furnace (RKEF) smelter and supporting facility project by contracting the China ENFI Engineering Corporation from China as engineering design and smelter technology contractror; PT PP Indonesia’s state-owned company for civil construction and PT PLN Indonesia’s state-owned electricity company for electricity supply.
In addition to fulfilling financial obligations to the state, Ceria is also committed to supporting government’s initiatives in regional development. “We contribute to regional development through local employment, local business development and community development,” said Derian.
He said, Ceria currently directly and indirectly empoloys about 1400 people. More than 75% of those employees are recruited from within the Kolaka district. “We also provide donation and assistance to local communities through our community development programs,” said Derian.
Ceria operates under a Production Operation Mining Business Permit with nickel commodity. Ceria is 100% owned by Indonesian shareholders. ***
