Jpnn.com, JAKARTA – PT Ceria Nugraha Indotama (CNI), the Integrated Nickel Mining, Processing and Refining company and its supporting facilities, has won the title as a world-class company.
This is because PT Ceria has just won three certificates with international standards, which are ISO 9001: 2015 Certificate, ISO 14001: 2015 Certificate, and ISO 45001: 2018 Certificate. The President Director of Evodia Global Certification (EGS), Umi Fadhila said, in order to achieve the ISO certifications, PT Ceria had gone through a series of rigorous assessments over a long period of time.
“ISO 9001 certification is an international standard in quality management system. Our assessment is that PT Ceria has met international requirements in terms of quality management system,”she explained in an official statement in Jakarta, Friday (25/9/2020). The management system refers to what the company does to carry out processes or activities, resulting in the nickel products produced by PT Ceria that meet the objectives.
The objectives of the products produced by PT Ceria were established by the Company, amongst which is to meet the consumers’ quality requirements, in compliance with the regulations and environmental objectives.
As explained, ISO 9001 2015 Certification is an international standard for Quality Management System Certification, or can also be referred to as Quality Management System Certification. This certification sets out various requirements, guidelines as well as recommendations for the design and assessment of a Quality Management Certification.
The objective is to ensure that the products produced by the company meet the requirements as set by the world standard body, namely ISO.
While ISO 14001: 2015 Certificate is an internationally agreed standard in implementing the requirements for environmental management system (EMS).
“The most important assessments include the application of Environmental Impact Analysis (AMDAL), product sustainability, and the commitment in realizing a green economy in particular for the local communities,” she further explained.
The Environmental Management System (EMS) helps organizations to improve environmental performance through more efficient use of resources and reduced waste, thereby gaining competitive advantages and the trust of stakeholders.
“The Environmental Management System (EMS) assists companies to identify, manage, monitor and control environmental issues in a holistic manner,” she explained.
As for ISO 45001: 2018 certificate, it is the first international standard in the world that establishes requirements or guidelines for an occupational safety and health management system (SMK3).
“PT Ceria has successfully passed the audit and obtained three ISO certificates, and this means the Company has complied with various requirements which are set at the international level,” he added.
As information, PT Ceria is currently completing its construction of a nickel ore smelting and processing plant using the Rectangular Rotary-kiln Electronic Furnace (RKEF) technology to produce Ferronickel (FeNi), and also developing a nickel and cobalt processing plant with High-Pressure Acid Leaching (HPAL) technology.to produce battery raw materials for electric vehicles.
