KENDARINEWS.COM – The final night of the 2020 Kendari Post Award at the Graha Pena Hall, Saturday (31/10/2020), was lively. PT Ceria Nugraha INDOTAMA (CNI), was one of the two nickel mining companies in Southeast Sulawesi, to be given the award. The company, operating in Wolo District, Kolaka Regency, was given the award in the category of Good Mining Practice Corporate.
The award was handed over directly by the President Commissioner of Kendari Post, Muhamad Ridwan Arif, to the Legal Manager of CNI, Moch Kenny Rochlim. “I congratulate the recipient of the Award. Hopefully this will be the spirit for the regional development,” said Muhammad Ridwan Arif.
According to him, those who receive Kendari Post Award are certainly beyond the ordinary. There are indicators, which are the reference in determining who are entitled to receive such award. Surely, the indicators are defined in accordance with the point of view of the mass media. “The Award is simply not just an award. But a good assessment of the potential that is possessed. Once again, congratulations and success for all,” he explained.
Meanwhile, CNI Legal Manager, Moch Kenny Rochlim, expressed his gratitude for the award given. CNI, he said, would continue to contribute to the community, the region and the country. CNI has recruited thousands of labours, contributes to local business development, complies in tax payment, and conducts social responsibility programs. Of approximately 1,400 direct and indirect employees, 75 percent of them are residents from around the mine area in Wolo District.
According to Kenny, CNI continues to make efforts to create values and to improve the standard of living through sustainable and responsible mining. All of this is certainly to support the regional development progress and the welfare of community “Once again, thank you. This will be a good spirit for us. I also would like to convey that CNI has received Proper Blue rating from the Ministry of the Environment Land and Forestry (LHK). Then, CNI has won three certificates of International standards namely the ISO Certificate 9001: 2015 (quality management), ISO Certificate 14001: 2015 (Occupational Health and Safety management) and ISO Certificate 45001: 2018 (Environmental Management). And regarding the taxes, we have paid hundreds of billions to the State, ” continued Kenny.
Kenny hopes that CNI can deliver added values and continues to contribute in advancing the region, especially helping the local government and the community. “Insya Allah [God willing], this award will become a new spirit. Thank you Kendari Post, ” Kenny concluded. (imn)
