WOLO – PT Ceria Nugraha Indotama (Ceria) held a free medical examination and treatment for the people of Ulu Wolo Village, Wolo District, Kolaka – South East Sulawesi, as a form of company social care.
The activity with the theme “Healthy Ceria,” held at the Ulu Wolo Village meeting hall, Thursday (October 08, 2020), was attended by the General Manager of Ceria Chandra Sumarah, Acting Head of Mining Engineering Wahyu Maradona, Coordinator of Community Relation H. Rahim S, and Coordinator of PPM / CSR Muhammad Ilham.
Head of Ulu Wolo Village, Ibnu Hasan, in this occasion gave his appreciation to Ceria, because in addition to conducting free medical examinations and treatment for its residents, the company also provides PMT assistance every month, including building a supporting Public Health Center building in Ulu Wolo Village.
“Currently the building of the auxiliary Public Health Center for the community is in the administrative process. Hopefully this process will all run smoothly, so that the people of Ulu Wolo Village can take advantage of it,” said Ibnu Hasan.
The same was conveyed by the Head of Wolo Public Health Center Amir Syam who said that Ceria has thoroughly helped Wolo Public Health Center, such as assistance for an ambulance car, organizing integrated service post (Posyandu) cadres training, handling COVID-19 and others.
On that occasion, Ceria Acting Head of Mining Engineering Wahyu Maradona revealed, free medical treatment could not be given entirely to the public, due to several factors, including the current Covid-19 pandemic condition, where the Government urged not to carry out crowd-related activities unless deemed important.
Meanwhile, the General Manager of Ceria Chandra Sumarah said, Ceria in the company’s operations, is not only prioritizing profit, but also paying attention to the environmental community around the company through various assistance programs, such as free medical treatment for the people in the Ceria IUP.
“This activity is a form of the company’s social care for the surrounding community. Hopefully this activity will benefit the community around Ceria in Wolo,” hoped Chandra Sumarah.
Meanwhile, Head of Wolo Sub-district, Andi Agung, on his opening remarks regarding the free medical treatment activity, gave his appreciation to Ceria, because the free medical treatment was carried out not only in Ulu Wolo Village, but also at 2 sub-districts and 4 Villages that were part of the Ceria IUP.
“The free medical treatment program will continue in the future. Not only in the health sector, but also in the field of education, economy, social and culture are to receive support from the company,” hoped Andi Agung.
On other occasion, one of the residents who received the benefits of free medical treatment, Nurdin, 70, thanked the company, because in addition to having his health checked, he was also given medicine and health education.
Doctor Yuliana Hasanuddin revealed that in this free medical treatment program, the most common diseases were hypertension experienced by parents and anemia in pregnant women caused by deficiencies of certain nutrients such as iron, folic acid, or vitamin B12.
“The presence and assistance of Ceria really help health services for the Wolo community, both for those currently being implemented as well as those that have been provided on an ongoing basis,” said Doctor Yuliana.
