The laying of the first stone for the construction of the Supporting Public Health Center (Puskesmas), conducted through the physical PPM / CSR program in the health sector for the 2020 Fiscal Year of Ceria, was attended by the Head of Puskesmas Wolo Amir Syam representing the Head of Kolaka Health Office, the Head of Ulu Wolo sub-district, the Management of Ceria, the leaders of the community and health.
Head of Puskesmas Amir Syam revealed that the construction or total rehabilitation of Puskesmas Ulu Wolo is one of the health sectors that has been budgeted for in 2018. The submission process has been proposed by the government for a long time through Musrenbang [deliberation of development plans], but it has not yet been implemented.
“Alhamdulillah, this year we can carry out the construction of the Ulu Wolo Puskesmas, replacing the old building which was planned to be used as an auxiliary health center in Ulu Wolo sub-district, thanks to Ceria’s assistance,” he said.
According to Amir Syam, Ulu Wolo residents should be proud of the construction of the supporting Puskesmas with inpatient standards from Ceria’s PPM / CSR Program funds, so that the community, especially Ulu Wolo and its surroundings, will not have to go far if they have to seek health treatment and be hospitalized.
He added that in the Puskesmas’ mission which is to develop quality community services, the Wolo District Government formulated a policy as a form of commitment to providing representative Puskesmas. This is what is being carried out today, the groundbreaking, also an implementation of the government’s commitment.
As for the Head of Ulu Wolo, Ibnu Hasan, expressed his appreciation for Ceria’s commitment, as well as cross-sectoral, who has affixed his signature in supporting the construction of the auxiliary health center, including the submission of land grant documents.
“What we are doing now will advance the region in the future. Therefore, we remind the ranks that not only buildings are built, but human resources and their needs, as well as services must be improved, so that they have the accreditation requirements. In the end, people who are sick become healthy,” said Ibnu Hasan.
Meanwhile, the Management of Ceria represented by Muhammad Ilham as the PPM / CSR Coordinator said, with the construction of the community health center, certainly, it is to fulfill public health services. Hopefully, the building construction will be completed quickly according to the planned target, as well as to be used immediately by the community.
“We hope that the construction of the Puskesmas will be completed according to the targeted timeline. We know that this development belongs to all of us and does not belong to the Ulu Wolo sub-district or Ceria, but belongs to the community,” he hoped. (*)
