Since March 2, 2020 there has been a significant increase number of COVID-19 positive patients, hence the requirement for ventilators has escalated sharply at the referral hospitals and emergency hospitals for patient management. PT Ceria Nugraha Indotama (Ceria) has joined the call to support ventilator supply through its Corporate Social Responsibility program by cooperating with the Faculty of Engineering of University of Indonesia and the Association of Alumni of University of Indonesia, through the Ventilator Team of University of Indonesia who has developed the ventilator produced by the nation’s sons and daughters, named as COVENT-20 (Transport Ventilator functioning as well as CPAP or Dual-Mode). This type has PASSED THE EXAMINATION of CPAP and CMV modes at the Health Facility Security Agency of the Ministry of Health of Republic of Indonesia and CLINICAL EXAMINATION at the the Indonesian Medical Education and Research Institute (IMERI) of the Faculty of Medicine of University of Indonesia.
On Saturday, July 4, 2020 at 9 am, Ceria attended the handover of COVENT-20 Ventilator to one of the Covid-19 referral hospitals appointed by the Faculty of Engineering of University of Indonesia i.e. Cibinong Regional Public Hospital in West Java. The handover event was held at the Dean Room of the Faculty of Engineering of University of Indonesia, Depok (West Java) Campus site.
The ventilator handover event was attented by Dr. Eng. Imansyah Ibnu Hakim, M. Eng. And Doctor Badrul Munir as the representative of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering of University of Indonesia; Ms. Yossi as the representative of Ceria, and was also attended by the representative of Cibinong Regional Public Hospital, West Java.
Dr. Eng. Imansyah Ibnu Hakim also conveyed his great appreciation to PT Ceria Nugraha Indotama who has taken part in contributing in providing 4 units of COVENT-20 Ventilators, as a part of the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility program. The contribution was consisted of 1 unit of COVENT-20 ventilator that had been handed over to Cibinong Regional Public Hospital, and 3 more units to Benyamin Guluh Regional Public Hospital in Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi which are in delivery process. He also expressed his hope towards other companies to be able to contribute like Ceria, considering that from the targeted 300 units of COVENT-20 ventilators to be donated, only 220 units have been absorbed until now.
