WOLO- Ceria collaborated with the Village Government (Pemdes) in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities to build a football field “Sipakalebbi” in Samaenre, Wolo sub-district, Kolaka district.
The Village Head of Samaenre, Daswar, admitted that he was very supportive of sports achievements in his village. Therefore, through an agreement with the community, it was decided to build a football field using Ceria’s PPM / CSR program funds, so that it is planned that the field can be completed in mid-February 2021.
“We hope that the Sipakalebbi football field can be used for activities on August 17 [2021], with the aim of promoting sports and exercising rural communities,” said Daswar, Thursday (10/12/2020).
According to the Village Head, the program to build a football field aims to support village league events, as well as to attract and develop local youths. Therefore, in addition to the field, assistance of basic facilities such as balls, nets and the costumes of the Samaenre Village club will also be provided.
He emphasized that the village government has made the making of a football field as a priority program, because it is realized that this sport is a sport that is very much in demand by the community, especially in Samaenre Village there is still a vast area to build a field.
“So far, there is a lot of potential for young people in the village. However, due to the lack of sports facilities in the village, this potential is ‘buried.’ For this reason, village sports facilities can become a bridge to national and professional athletes. Thus, the economic future of the Nation’s children through sports can be materialized,” he said.
He added that the presence of village sports facilities has a positive impact on the social life of the residents, such as building solidarity between residents and directing the younger generation to positive activities. (*)
