PT Ceria Nugraha Indotama (Ceria) is a mining company, established on March 18th, 1992 based on the Notary Certificate No.29 issued by Mestariany Habie, SH in Ujung Pandang, Indonesia. Ceria is fully-owned by Indonesian shareholders. In 2011, Ceria won the tender conducted by Indonesian Government on the Lapaopao Block which has an area of 6785 hectares. The award was based on the Kolaka Regent Decree No.327, surpassing 71 other national and international companies participating in the tender.
Ceria received the Mining License on Exploration (IUP Eksplorasi) according to the Kolaka Regent No.348 in 2011. It was further upgraded in 2012 from Exploration License to Exploitation License (IUP Operasi-Produksi) issued by the Kolaka Regent No.177. Clear and Clean (C&C) certificate was received on the November 8th, 2013 via 2 announcement, section 10 of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) with C&C Certificate No.817/Min/12/2013. Registered Export, ET – Mining Product No.175/DAGLU/ET-TAMBANG/11/2012 was granted on November 29th, 2013, and the Export License Certificate (SPE) No.1378/30/DJB/2017 was received on July 4th, 2017.
Ceria Mining activities are equipped with Mining Environmental Licenses (AMDAL: ANDAL, RKL-RPL) approved by the Government based on the Kolaka Regent Decree No.113 year 2012 with regards to Ceria Environmental Impact Analysis on Mining Activities in Wolo District, Kolaka Regency, South East Sulawesi Province. The project site is located at Wolo sub-district, Southeast Sulawesi province, Indonesia. Kolaka is accessible via air transportation from Makassar and Kendari. There are regular flights every day. The Lapaopao project also can be reached by 50 minutes flight from Makassar to Pomalaa followed by a 1 hour drive to Kolaka. Via land transportation, the road is approximately 67 km to Pomalaa and 1.5 hours driving from Kolaka to the site. Site access from Kendari – Kolaka to the final approach to the project site is via a major sealed road with driving for about 3 hours from Kendari to Kolaka.

Derian Sakmiwata is running family business and was appointed as President Director of PT Ceria Nugraha Indotama in 2014. The company, which was founded by his father in 2011, is now shared with Derian and his sister Cherisha Sakmiwata Sampetoding.
A 2013 graduate of International Business from Griffith Australia University now oversees 800 employees and manages an area of 6785 hectares located in Wolo, Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi. The mine area has 295 million metric tons of nickel ore reserves. Through a 20-year contract of work and a ten-year extension option of 10 years each, Derian leads Ceria to build a nickel smelter.
Cherisha Sakmiwata was appointed as Finance Director at PT Ceria Nugraha Indotama since 2014. She is also running the company alongside with Derian Sakmiwata from Makasar office.
Cherisha Sakmiwata Sampetoding graduated from Griffith University of Australian in Business Major in Marketing and received her Bachelor Degree in 2013. She believe in having a great team work among employees and management as an essential factor of accomplishing and achieving the company’s goals.
Dedy Hendrawan is a member of the Board of Directors at PT Ceria Nugraha Indotama in 2017 as Chief Operating Officer (COO).
The geologist and mining expert was a graduate of Geology Engineering from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in 1991. Dedy has more than 25 years experience at Rio Tinto Indonesia-Australia-Asia (Australasia), more than 6 years at PT Bumi Resources Minerals as Head of Geology and Technical Services and as General Manager of Geology & Development of PT Gorontalo Mineras and several years in Canadian and Indonesian companies.
As COO, Dedy manages mining operations, prepares the construction of infrastructure facilities and ferronickel smelters in the IUP area of 6785 hectares located in Wolo, Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi.
Dedy is also responsible for an extensive exploration drilling program to ensure sufficient reserves of nickel and cobalt ore for supply to smelters with a supply of 5 million tons of ore per year for a minimum of 50 years of smelter life.
Dedy also oversees the Business Development team for development and ensures its ongoing operations during the 20-year Production Operation License and twice the 10-year extension option.
As COO, Dedy is committed to carrying out and achieving the company’s Vision and Mission by carrying out good mining practices and involving stakeholders in accordance with the provisions and regulations set by the Government.
Roimon Barus became a member of the Board of Directors at PT Ceria Nugraha Indotama starting in 2017 as the Smelter Project Director. A 1987 graduate of Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Indonesia has mature experience in Smelter, Engineering and EHS operations at PT Vale, Tbk.
He is currently overseeing the smelter project located in the district Wolo, Kab. Kolaka, Prov. Southeast Sulawesi. Roimon Barus leads the smelter project at PT Ceria Nugraha Indotama from 2017 – present.
